RWB is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team! This is a full-time position based in our Dallas, TX office.

Position Description

  • Your responsibilities would include design and analysis of HVAC systems, preparation of HVAC production drawings (beginning to end) with drafting and/or modeling in either AutoCAD or Revit, submittal review, site visits (both prior to / during design and during construction).
  • You will be responsible for designing mechanical HVAC systems for a variety of project types, including education (K-12 and higher education), municipal, worship, office, medical, data centers, office/warehouse, high/low-rise long-term care facilities, food service facilities, retail, and other commercial buildings.
  • You will be working on a design team with other mechanical engineers, plumbing engineers, and electrical engineers. You may be interacting with clients and other consultants, and attending client meetings.

What We Are Looking For

The candidate may have 0-5 years of experience designing and/or analyzing mechanical systems for commercial buildings. We are looking for someone with a good attitude regarding this line of work, exceptional character, a desire for quality in their work, and an ability to manage their self well. The ideal candidate works well in teams and is eager to help the team accomplish their goals.

Other Requirements

  • Candidates for this role must have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering and either possess or be pursuing their EIT certification. Having a P.E. license in Texas is a plus.
  • Competencies with AutoCAD and Revit is desired.
  • Experience with energy modeling is a plus.
  • Familiarity with plumbing design and electrical systems is a plus.
  • Experience with industry standard software is desired. This includes Microsoft products, COMcheck, and HVAC load calculation programs such as Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, and/or eQuest.
  • Involvement with American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) or Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is a plus.
