We recently received the 2025 Dallas Chapter ASHRAE and ASHRAE Region VIII Technology Award in the “Commercial Buildings – New” category for the World Springs at Grandscape project. This luxurious retreat, located at the Grandscape in The Colony, features 48 pools and spas, offering an elevated customer experience through geothermal innovation and a seamless blend of spa and sauna, retail, and food and beverage services. The project emphasizes sustainable mechanical design while enhancing guest comfort and reducing the facility’s environmental footprint.

RWB joined design partners HH Architects and Project Advocates to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for the Salvation Army of North Texas’ New Dallas Campus. The development has begun on a site covering 21 acres. The campus will have five buildings, providing housing, workforce development/training, and wellness programs. The chapel will be placed in the campus’s center and displayed with the Harbor Light Corps. The project is projected to be completed in 2027.

RWB will provide full MEP Services and Technology system design, which includes security cameras, structured cabling, wireless access point coordination, and more.

RWB Consulting Engineers and PGAL recently wrapped up the City of Frisco Fire Station No.10. The station has three bays, a training room, a gym, and individual dorms for the firefighters.

We have worked on a total of 10 Fire Stations for the City of Frisco!

Christine Miner, Isabel Herrera, and Loana Modaber were thrilled to be judges at UTD’s STEM Women’s Brunch-n-Browse in late March. The event was buzzing with energy as the ladies engaged in lively conversations with brilliant students showcasing diverse research projects. Isabella Herrera said, “It was an absolute thrill to see all these women tackling challenging research. Their enthusiasm was contagious! I can’t wait for the next session!”

RWB Plumbing Designer Miko Borra proudly represented RWB at the ACE Mentor Golf Tournament dinner. In high school, he participated in the ACE Mentor Program in Chicago and Austin. This program inspired his passion for engineering and provided him with valuable experiences and connections that helped shape his career path.

Managing Principal Nathan Hart attended the TEMA Connect Conference earlier this month in Galveston to present on Refrigerant Changes and the Impact on Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Systems. Participants learned how adopting A2L (flammable) refrigerants significantly impacts the use and design of VRF systems. He explained how to continue utilizing these systems in light of new refrigerants and code requirements.

Managing Principal David Boon had a fantastic time talking to future engineers at the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center’s School of Science and Engineering. He shared inspirational stories about MEP engineering and gave a peek into the world of engineers by sharing a selection of our most complex projects. The students were very curious and asked lots of great questions!

RWB Employees Jerry Munoz, Blanca Rodriguez, Robert Frick and Jarrett Dillsaver had an amazing time participating in the Alvarado Lions Club’s Eyeglasses and Scholarship Golf Tournament. Proceeds made from the tournament will go toward eye examinations and eyeglasses for children and financial aid for Alvarado ISD graduates.

Earlier this month we held our 2nd Annual Chili Cook-off. There were a variety of flavorful and creative chilies! Our winners were as follows:

1st place: Colton Turbeville’s Addendum 30
2nd place: Terri Brown’s Sissy’s Chili
3rd place: Jerry Munoz’s Netflix & Chili: Brisket Confidential

Special thanks to our judges from Mesquite ISD and Plano ISD!

We want to welcome our newest addition to the firm!

Luis Mondragon recently joined our CAD & BIM group. He is from Dallas, Texas and is currently pursuing a degree in Architecture at the University of Texas at Arlington. His background in design, combined with hands-on experience in drafting and modeling, led him to explore BIM and Low-Voltage design in the engineering industry.
Luis enjoys working on his trucks and exploring the outdoors.

Electrical Engineering

“I have several family members who are electricians and own small electrical contracting companies. Electricity makes the world go round, and with some experience working as an apprentice electrician because of my family, choosing to pursue electricity seemed like a clear choice. It was curiosity that directed me toward the source of our technology. Computers, lights, and all electronics – the keys to the modern way of life – all fall under the umbrella of electrical engineering. It was familiarity, that led me to MEP.”

Juan Azua | Mechanical Intern
Texas A&M University at College Station
Architecture Engineering – Mechanical Track

“Design has always fascinated me because contributing to something that others can enjoy makes me happy. I love cooking, caring for my family, programming, practicing REVIT, and playing video games.

Gregory Sabuncuyan | Mechanical Intern
University of Texas at Arlington
Mechanical & Nuclear Engineering

“I have always been fascinated by the intricate and complex process of designing buildings. This curiosity drives me to understand the complexities of how structures are built.”

Spring interns, Khudsia, Michael, and Caren are continuing on with us into the summer!
