Ongoing MEP Engineering Support for Fidelity Investments

RWB Consulting Engineers has proudly partnered with Fidelity Investments on numerous occasions, providing comprehensive MEP engineering services across a variety of project types. Our work spans both mission-critical data centers and 24/7 office facilities, supporting Fidelity’s high-performance infrastructure needs throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Data Center Projects – Irving, Texas

Our long-standing collaboration with Fidelity includes several projects at their primary data center campus in Irving, TX. These efforts have ranged from facility expansions to critical infrastructure upgrades and remodels.

Key Projects and Upgrades

852-ton Cooling Tower Upgrade: Enhanced cooling capacity to support increased data loads.
900 kW Generator Installation: Designed for backup power and emergency operations.
500 kVA UPS System: Provided continuous, reliable power supply for critical systems.

Facility Expansion Scope

As part of a larger data center expansion, RWB designed and implemented the following infrastructure:

1,000 tons of additional cooling tower capacity
30,000-gallon fuel oil storage system, complete with a duplex pumping unit and a fuel oil polishing system
4,500 kW generator system, paired with a 2,250 kW rotary UPS system to ensure uninterrupted operations

These upgrades significantly increased the site’s resilience and operational efficiency, enabling Fidelity to maintain uninterrupted services across its financial platforms.

Office Building Projects – Greater Dallas Area

In addition to our work at the Irving data center, RWB completed multiple MEP design projects across Fidelity’s office buildings throughout the Dallas region. Many of these facilities operate 24/7 and include embedded data centers that support on-site operations.

Infrastructure Design for Continuous Operation

Our engineering team developed and integrated reliable mechanical and electrical systems tailored for continuous, around-the-clock use:

Cooling Towers, Chillers, Water Source Heat Pumps, and Air Handling Units: Designed to maintain optimal indoor conditions and server room temperatures.
On-site Generators: Engineered to prevent downtime and ensure seamless transitions during power outages.

Interior Renovations and Tenant Finish-Outs

RWB also supported extensive interior finish-outs in Fidelity’s commercial properties. Notable projects include:

12 floors of tenant improvements at both Canal Plaza Office Building and Waterway Tower
Custom-designed systems to meet Fidelity’s functional, operational, and aesthetic requirements
