JANUARY 2025 NEWSLETTER
RWB Consulting Engineers is finishing the first quarter of 2025 and is excited about the strategic initiatives planned for the rest of the year. The firm’s growth is steadily progressing in our Dallas and Fort Worth offices, which is in line with our core values of prioritizing client relationships and strengthening the RWB brand. We look forward to seeing you at upcoming events and conferences, as we have exciting news on the horizon!
RWB joined design partners VLK Architects and the general contractor team, Core Construction to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for Sherman ISD’s new multipurpose stadium.
The stadium will have a seating capacity of 8,000 and will include improvements to the surrounding site. The completion of the new stadium project is anticipated in the summer of 2026.
The development of the Salvation Army of North Texas’ New Dallas Campus is set to begin on a site covering 21 acres. Before the project officially starts, a groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled to take place in the next couple of months. The campus will have five buildings, providing housing, workforce development/training, and wellness programs. The chapel will be placed in the campus’s center and displayed with the Harbor Light Corps. The project is projected to be completed around April 2027.
RWB will provide full MEP Services and Technology system design, which includes security cameras, structured cabling, wireless access point coordination, and more. This project is in partnership with HH Architects.
Alvarado ISD celebrated the groundbreaking of their new gym and storm shelter at Alvarado High School in late March. RWB will be providing MEP and Technology system services. This project is in partnership with PBK Architects.
This first quarter of the year has been a whirlwind of productivity with a touch of fun along the way! In February, our team joined forces with industry partners for the annual Form Follows Fitness run, blending teamwork and fitness. March has kept us on our toes, as RWB staff attended the Stetson Stiletto Standoff in celebration of Collin College’s 40th anniversary, as well as the Mesquite ISD Foundation’s 18th Annual Gala & Concert.
It’s been a busy and exciting start to the year!
Earlier this month mechanical engineer Christine Miner was invited to speak at UNT’s student chapter of AEE on the topic: What is Consulting Engineering? She discussed what an MEP engineer is, and what they do day-to-day. She said, “The students had great questions and were excited to learn more about the world of consulting engineering.”
In March, we gathered at Vanguard High School in Mesquite ISD to celebrate Ken Fulk’s remarkable career as he embarks on his well-deserved retirement. We are immensely grateful for his 36+ years of service, and we wish him the best during his future endeavors!

Architectural Engineering
“I have always had a fascination with buildings, which led me to pursue a major in architecture. From a young age, I found myself constantly sketching buildings and structures, driven by a curiosity about how they were designed. This passion grew over time as I developed a keen interest in the relationship between design, functionality, and the impact buildings have. My desire to understand creating innovative and sustainable spaces motivated me to choose this field of study.”

Mechanical & Energy Engineering
Michael is a returning 2024 summer and fall intern and says:
“My favorite experiences have been the site visits. In my time here, I have seen projects in just about every major stage of development and learned the real-world effects of our work as engineers. Overall, hands-on experience is invaluable, and I’ve been very grateful to gather as much of it as I can.”

Electrical Engineering
“Ever since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated by engineering, especially anything involving math and science. When I entered high school, I discovered the electrical engineering track, which completely captured my imagination. Taking several engineering focused courses like digital electronics solidified my passion for electricity and electronic systems. What truly excited me was learning how incredibly diverse electrical engineering can be. A particularly memorable experience was when our professor organized a construction site tour, where we explored the intricate inner workings of building design. This experience specifically sparked my interest in the MEP engineering aspect of electrical engineering.”
We look forward to seeing our clients and industry partners at the 2025 Annual Regional Conference taking place at the Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel,
April 7-10.
